A couple of tiring days at work left me feeling like a tasty sweet treat. Trying to eat more healthy, I decided to try my hand at some new bliss ball recipes. The one listed below was exactly what I was looking for – silky smooth, delicious and (most of all) easy to make!
Ingredients:
450g medjool dates, pits removed (you could substitute for dried dates as well)
6 tbsp raw cacao powder
5 tbsp dessicated coconut, plus extra for rolling
3 tbsp black chia seeds
3 tbsp tahini
1 tbsp water
1 tbsp sesame seeds, for rolling
Method:
- Combine the dates, cacoa powder, coconut, chia seeds and tahini in a food processor until well mixed.
- Add water to create a smooth mixture. If not wet enough to roll, add more water until the mixture is the desired consistency.
- Combine extra dessicated coconut and sesame seeds in a bowl.
- Roll the mixture into small balls. Toss in coconut and sesame seeds.
- Refrigerate or freeze.
Note – this recipe makes approximately 40 small bliss balls.
